See Jane Run Fruit Cake Relays

The inaugural See Jane Run Fruitcake Relays is the perfect holiday break for the entire family or group of friends. Relay teams consisting of 2-4 runners will compete to see who can complete 4 laps on the paved trails around Lake Temescal the fastest.

Location: Lake Temescal, Oakland CA
Distance: 4 X 1.2 mile relays

Time: 9:30 a.m.

Participants are asked to bring an UNWRAPPED toy. This run benefits the Oakland Fire Department's Random Acts of Kindness charity.

Ever wonder what to do with a fruitcake? Never had one you say. Well here's your chance to find out. The top three teams in the following categories: all women, all men, coed (min. 50% women) and kids (all under 18)will win fun prizes and a fruitcake! There will also be prizes for the youngest and oldest teams (combined ages) and the team that our race officials see having the most fun!

Come ready to have fun. Relay teams are encouraged to wear matching (or not!) costumes/uniforms and bring a good sense of holiday cheer to share and receive with all participants. Relay Teams may consist of 2-4 participants and will be grouped in the following categories: all women, coed (50% of the relay team must be women) and all men. Teams with less than 50% female members will be classified as all men.

This is a primarily a fun run. Final times will be recorded, but teams will be responsible for capturing their own split times.
