Friday, September 26, 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. –5817 College Avenue Oakland
September 27, 2007
6:00 a.m. Race chips are handed out. Race packets available.
7:15 a.m. Pre-Race Announcements
7:30 a.m. Early Race Start!
7:50 a.m. age waves start and continue every four minutes.
This is where we post race details, updates and changes. Please check back periodically.
You’re invited to hang out for the awards presentations and complimentary breakfast! It all happens at the See Jane Run Triathlon EXPO. Cheer fellow racers and cool off on the water slides (weather permitting) while you’re waiting. Please respect fellow racers and give them plenty of room around the Finish Line. Faster racers and fans of faster racers are encouraged to wait until the end of the race before leaving to avoid traffic congestion on the road and in the transition area.
On race day you will get a race chip, which you attach around your ankle. That chip allows us to record your time at various lines throughout the race. No matter which starting wave you’re in, your time will be recorded based on when you start and finish. This nifty technology also allows us to post your times for each leg of the race.
If you have special needs or are concerned about finishing in time, you may start with the 7:30 wave. The cycling route has a 10:15 a.m. cutoff. If you don’t think you can finish the swim and cycling part of the race in 1.75 – 2.25 hours, please contact the race director at events@seejanerun.com to request a spot in the first wave.
We will hold the Awards Ceremony during the post-race party. Medals, prizes and a ‘purse’ will be awarded to the top three over-all finishers as well as the top three finishers in each age group.
“Purses” are super-duper, oh-so-colorful, ballistic nylon tote bags with nifty surprises inside. Thank you Timbuk2!
