Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is attendance at all workouts mandatory?
A: No, but you know you’ll be glad you came.

Q: If I just attend your workouts will I be ready for the triathlon?
A. Yes. But the more workouts you do, the better you’ll feel, so we’ll provide you with additional workouts to do between sessions.

Q: How do I know if I should sign up for the Sprint or the Olympic distance program?
A: Basic rule of thumb is that if you have never done a triathlon before, it’s has been a while since your last one, or you’re not in as good of shape as you once were, you may prefer the Sprint Distance. If you have completed or will complete at least one sprint distance triathlon this year before the Olympic distance program begins, you should be just fine participating in our Olympic Distance program.

Q: Can I still participate if I do not know how to swim?
A: Certainly! We suggest that you start with the Sprint program to strengthen your skills before doing the Olympic program. If swimming is your only weakness, though, and you are really strong in the other two areas, consider working with one of our personal trainers for a few sessions prior to the program, and then go for the Olympic distance.

Q: What type of equipment do I need to get started?
A: Running shoes, bike (road or mountain), bike helmet, swimsuit, swim goggles, swim cap and a smile.

Q: Can I get a discount on the program if I can only attend on Saturdays or only during the week?
A: Sorry, no discounts. Our instructors and facilities are booked for every session, no matter how many people attend.

Q: Can I get a refund for the program?
A: Sorry. Once you sign up, refunds will not be granted.

A:Tuesdays in San Francisco: Run at Kezar Stadium,6:30-7:30 p.m.
Tuesdays in the East Bay: Swim at Mills College, 7:30-8:30 p.m.
Thursdays in San Francisco: Swim at King Pool, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Saturdays: locations and workouts vary in the Bay Area, include cycling and brick       workouts, 8-11ish a.m.

Team members receive emails and a manual with locations and directions.

Q: How will I be notified of team events, training session changes or weather cancellations?
